Handmade Wooden Rattle

These beautiful, easy to grasp wooden rattles are sure to intrigue and delight all babies! Made with locally sourced wood, with your choice of contrasting hard maple, cherry, ash or walnut to provide an interesting visual impact.

The "rattling" bits are unpopped popcorn kernels that are inserted at the beginning of the process, so there is no chance of the toy coming apart. The piece is sanded down, whetted and sanded again and then finished with certified organic, food-grade hempseed oil to bring out the different wood tones. Tested and approved by our little one.

This toy complies with the Canadian Safety Standard for rattles.

Painted Turtle Wooden Toys has choosen to make their toys primarily out of white ash sourced from a local family-owned sawmill that has been responsibly managing their lumber since 1959. The hardwood's durability will ensure that the toys will be passed down from generation to generation. The contrasting hardwoods that they use in conjunction with the white ash are from salvaged scraps.

Toys are finished with Food-Grade Certified Organic Hempseed Oil. Cold pressed from certified organic hemp seed that is grown sustainably without the use of herbicides or pesticides. It also does not contain any Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs), additives, or preservatives and is gluten and nut free. Please note that the oil does not contain any psychoactive properties, as the seeds themselves do not contain these molecules.
